Reading and clearing faults in the ECU for a broad range of systems is the function of Gunson’s latest diagnostic tool, compatible with CAN protocol. As well as reading and clearing faults in the unit controlling airbags, ABS, automatic transmission, climate controls, radio/immobilizer, central locking and other systems it will also reset the oil and service light indicators on all Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen models. Retailing for around £195 the scan and reset tool is back lit and accesses the ECU through the standard EOBD 16pin socket. The tool can also be used as a standard fault code reader for OBD II & EOBD systems on all other vehicles with CAN protocol, supplied in a zip storage case.
